A ceramic salt and pepper shaker set inspired by the Disney Studios animated film "Bambi" (1942). Featuring the adorable rabbit Thumper, the shakers were created by Leeds China Co. in Chicago between 1944 and 1954. Leeds ceramics were often brightly painted, but due to their age and handling rarely retain their original color, as seen with this set. Measuring 1.75”x1.75” and 3.25” tall each, the shakers are in good condition with handling wear near the holes, one shaker has a small chip on the reverse, one stopper is missing, and the other stopper is stuck inside.
